Sophomore forward Yosnier Cobas (Miami, FL/Doral Academy) is having an impressive season defensively as well as on the offensive side of the court for the Columbia Claim Jumpers. As of Jan. 30, Cobas leads the Central Valley Conference with 11.4 rebounds per game and 22 total blocks over eight CVC contests.
With the ball, he’s averaging 14.8 points per game in conference action and ranks second in field goal shooting percentage at 66.2 percent. Recently in a win over West Hills Coalinga, Cobas posted season-highs of 23 points, 18 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
