CVC Baseball Featured Athlete: Tyler Stokes, Cerro Coso College
Sophomore outfielder Tyler Stokes (Chandler, AZ/Chaparral HS) is off to an impressive start for the Cerro Coso Coyotes. Entering Tuesday's Central Valley Conference opener, he leads all CVC hitters with a .424 batting average, 18 runs, and is tied for first with 8 doubles. His 12 walks rank third while he also has a home run with 15 RBI.

Stokes has had at least one hit in 14 of 16 games for Cerro Coso this season and is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak. On Feb. 21, he went 3 for 5 at the plate against Antelope Valley College with a double, triple, and 2 RBI.
