Led by conference champion Fresno City College, the Central Valley Conference will be represented by three teams at the 2019 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Northern California Regional Playoffs.

Fresno City earned the conference's top seed at No. 6 and will host No. 11 Cabrillo College while CVC runner up Taft College was named the No. 13 seed and will play at No. 4 Sacramento City College in a best-of-three game first-round playoff series.
College of the Sequoias picked up the No. 16 seed and will host No. 17 Monterey Peninsula College in a play-in round game on Tuesday (Apr. 30) at 2 p.m. The winner of that game will advance to face either No. 2 Feather River College or No. 1 San Joaquin Delta in a first round series.
Round 1 games begin on Friday (May 3) with Game 2 on Saturday (May 4) with a third game if necessary to follow also on Saturday.
Fresno City enters the postseason with a 30-10 overall record. The Rams won their final game of the regular season to edge Taft for the conference championship with a 17-4 CVC mark. Fresno City has won 11 of its last 13 games and has outscored its opponents by an impressive 319-151 margin.
Cabrillo brings a 22-16 record to the playoffs and finished in second place in the Coast Conference Pacific Division at 10-8.
Taft enters the 2019 postseason with a 25-14 overall record and finished just a game out of first-place in the conference with a 16-5 mark. The Cougars roll into the playoffs having won six of their last seven CVC contests and are winners of 17 of their last 21 ball games.
The Cougars have stayed competitive all season thanks to the long ball. Their 47 home runs this season currently ranks No. 2 in the state. Taft has outscored its opponents by a 351-238 margin.
Sacramento City enters the postseason with a 28-11 overall record and finished tied for third place in the Big 8 Conference at 16-8. The Panthers have outscored their opponents 294-197 this season and have won 11 of their last 14 games.
Sequoias also tied for second place in the CVC with a 16-5 record. COS is 23-15-1 overall heading into the playoffs. The Giants will look to regain their early season form after dropping five of their last eight ball games to close out the regular season. Sequoias has outscored its opponents 298-219 this year.
Monterey Peninsula sneaked into the playoffs with a 21-18 overall record and finished third in the Coast Conference Pacific Division at 9-9. MPC has lost 5 of its last 8 games going into the postseason.
The winners of the best two-out-of-three series advances to Round 2 of the Northern California Regional Playoffs on May 10. Teams are battling for a spot in the CCCAA State Championship, set for May 25-27 in Fresno.
