The CVC will be represented by three teams in the regional playoffs. Fresno City (25-3) earned the conference’s top seed at No. 2. Sequoias (20-8) was named the No. 5 seed and Columbia (21-7) checks in at the No. 10. Two wins are needed to advance to the CCCAA State Championships on March 14-17 at Ventura College.
At the halfway point of the conference schedule, Fresno City resides on top of the standings with a perfect 8-0 CVC record and has won 15 straight games. Porterville nearly snapped that streak, pushing FCC to a narrow 81-80 win on Jan. 19.
