2018 CVC Cross Country Championship Results


Thanks to five top-10 finishes, College of the Sequoias captured the men's team championship at the 2018 Central Valley Conference Championships. The event took place on Oct. 26 at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Sequoias totaled 27 points to runaway with first place. Clovis finished second with 44 points, followed by Fresno City College in third with 59 points.

Ismael Ramirez of COS was crowned the men's individual winner after clearing the four-mile course in a time of 21:38. Sequoias received a third-place finish from David Roderick at 21:56, followed by Oscar Perez in fifth at 22:08, Joel Garcia in eighth at 22:14, and Leonardo Jimenez in 10th at 22:38.

Jose Mosqueda was Fresno City's top finisher, taking second place while clocking in at 21:47. Clovis was led by Chris Watkins' fourth-place showing with his time of 22:00.

Both Sequoias and Clovis have qualified for next week's Northern California Regional Championships that are set for Nov. 2 at Shasta College in Redding.
