Reedley at 13-2 is off to the best start among Central Valley Conference teams. Last week, Merced and Cerro Coso got off to conference play early as the Blue Devils took the doubleheader to move to 2-0 in the CVC.

CVC Softball Featured Athlete: Chelsea Ramos, Porterville College
Returning All-American Chelsea Ramos (Porterville, CA/Monache HS) is off to another fantastic season for the Porterville Pirates. Last year, Ramos hit .564 with a .630 on base percentage and 1.051 slugging percentage. In just 12 games this season, Ramos has collected 22 hits, including 12 doubles, a triple, and 4 home runs. She's hitting .537 with an even better 1.171 slugging percentage. Ramos struck out just six times over 117 at bats in 2018 and has K'd just once in 41 official trips to the plate so far this season.

In a March 1 doubleheader at Hartnell College, Ramos went a perfect 7 for 7 over the two games with 4 doubles, a home run, and 4 RBI. She also walked twice and scored 7 runs.
