With a week left to play before the Central Valley Conference schedule, Merced (14-2) and Sequoias (13-2) appear to be the teams to beat this season. COS has won 10 straight contests while Merced is currently riding a nine-game winning streak.

Sequoias at No. 4 and Merced at No. 5 are currently the top-ranked CVC teams in this week's (Dec. 31) CCCWBCA state poll. In the NorCal poll, COS is No. 2, Merced is No. 3, with Fresno City checking in at a tie for No. 10.

Women's Basketball Featured Athlete: I'man Conley, Reedley College
Sophomore guard I'man Conley is having an amazing non-conference season for Reedley. She currently leads all CVC athletes, averaging 17.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game this season. She's scored in double figures in 11 of 14 games and has scored 29 points twice this season.

She had a monster game with 22 points and 22 rebounds in a Nov. 20 win over Allan Hancock College.
