Barnett, Wilson power WHCL to win over Cuesta
West Hills College Lemoore got huge games from sophomores Milton Barnett and Camron Wilson to lead the Golden Eagles to an impressive 75-66 non-conference win over visiting Cuesta College on Thursday night.
The victory improved West Hills to 5-4 overall.
West Hills trailed 37-36 at halftime and rallied to outscore Cuesta 39-26 in the second to pull out the win.
Burnett went off for a career-high 36 points, sinking 15 of 30 shots, including 3 three-pointers. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.
Wilson posted his sixth double-double in nine games this season, grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds while pouring in 22 points. He nailed 4 three-pointers and also had 6 steals.
DyAndre Morehead (16 rebounds, 9 points) and Jose Martinez (10 rebounds, 4 points), and Jeremiah Walker (9 rebounds, 4 points) all played key roles in the win.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday (Dec. 11) when they travel to Cosumnes River College in Sacramento for a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
