West LA opened the season with a long trip to Taft Ca, to face Taft College. After a canceled home game vs. Southwestern College.

West LA started the game on a 5-0 run after scoring on their first few possessions. Taft college quickly answered back with a fury of 3-point shots.  The game went back and forth for all 4 quarters. Some costly turnovers in the 2nd half proved to be too much for the young wildcat team. The Wild cats will be back at home Friday at 2pm to Open up the Wild West shootout vs. Palo Verde.
