The Hartnell Softball team split their double header against host West Hills. In Game 1, the Panthers lost 9-4. Hartnell gave West Hills to many extra opportunities by commiting five errors. Offensively the Panthers Allison Manuel went 4 for 4 with an RBI. Jennifer Garcia went 2 for 4. Paige Snowe went 1 for 5 with two runs scored. Karen Pina and Anahi Camacho collected a knock. Pina added two RBIs. In the circle Allison Manuel took the loss going three and a third innings giving up eight runs on eleven hits.
In Game 2, Hartnell returned the favor and got the win 11-3. Panthers put up eight runs in the top of the second inning. Karen Pina 3 for 4 with two runs and a double. Megan Flores went 2 for 4. Paige Snowe went 1 for 4 scored three runs with an RBI. Jennifer Garcia continued to stay hot and collected three hits on four at bats with three RBIs. Aleena Boronda went 1 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs. Allison Manuel had a double with three RBIs. Kaytlin Villareal pitched five innings, giving up three runs on eight hits.
The Panthers (3-5) will next travel to San Luis Obispo to play in the Cuesta Tournament starting on Friday February 21st.
