As we open the conference schedule, Fresno City and Columbia currently reside on top of the CVC standings with identical 9-3 overall records. Fresno has won 8 of its last 10 games and is currently riding a seven-game winning streak.

Checking in at No. 6 in the latest CCCMBCA State Poll (Dec. 17), Fresno is the top-ranked Central Valley Conference squad with Columbia at No. 12. In the NorCal rankings, Fresno City is No. 2, Columbia is No. 4, followed by Sequoias at No. 8.

Men's Basketball Featured Athlete: Ricardo Time, West Hills College Coalinga
Sophomore guard/forward Ricardo Time currently leads the Central Valley Conference in scoring at 20.4 points per game while averaging 6.5 rebounds. His 38 three-point baskets rank third in conference as he is currently shooting 49 percent from three-point range (38-for-77).

Time has scored in double figures in all 12 non-conference games this season and posted a season-high of 30 points in a Dec. 8 win over San Diego Mesa College.
