Fresno City captures 14th straight CVC championship; FCC, Sequoias qualify for NorCal Playoffs

Fresno City College continued its dominance in Central Valley Conference women's volleyball. With another 16-0 perfect record, the Rams captured their 14th consecutive CVC championship.

FCC also extended its amazing conference winning streak to 144 matches. The Rams have won 16 CVC titles overall.

College of the Sequoias turned in another standout season, finishing second in the final CVC standings at 14-2. With just six players on its roster and new head coach Mallori Rossi brought on just weeks before the start of the season, Taft College stunned many across the state and finished third in the CVC with a 12-4 record.

Merced College (8-7), Porterville College (7-9), West Hills College Coalinga (7-9), West Hills College Lemoore (4-11), Columbia College (1-13), and Reedley College (1-15) completed the CVC final standings.

Fresno City (28-3 overall) earned the conference's top seed in the NorCal Regional Playoffs and check in at the No. 3 spot. Sequoias (23-6) joins the Rams in the postseason and was named the No. 8 seed. Taft (13-8) missed the postseason by one spot according to the final RPI.

Two wins are needed to advance to the CCCAA State Championships on Dec. 3-5 at Fresno City College. The host Rams will look to make their third straight trip to the state championships after reaching the finals in 2019 and the semis in 2018.
