Softball Results At Fresno City College

Reedley College softball took a five-game losing streak into an April 5 doubleheader in Visalia with College of the Sequoias.
The only action last week for Coach Amy Bailey's squad was a March 29 doubleheader at Fresno City College. The Rams remained in first place in the conference with 8-1 and 11-3 wins over the Tigers. The losses dropped the Tigers to 2-5  in conference play and 8-15 overall.
After meeting COS, Reedley travels to Taft College for a 2:00 p.m. single game Thursday before hosting Porterville at 1 p.m. for a Saturday single contest.
In the losses to Fresno City, the Tigers were held to one hit in the first game. That hit was a solo home run off the bat of Ellie Montalvo in the fourth inning.
In the second game, Reedley took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning as a Sienna Esquivel single scored Jordynn Acevedo.
The Tigers added two more runs in the fourth inning as Mikayiah Johnson tripled to score Velma Sanchez and scored on a single by Bianca Resto.
