Reedley Softball Wraps Up 2022 Season

Reedley College has finished the 2022 softball season with an overall record of 10-21 after splitting a season-ending doubleheader with Merced College last Thursday in Reedley.

Even though they won two of their last four games, Coach Amy Bailey's squad still finished last in the Central Valley Conference with a 4-11 record.

Reedley broke a 10-game losing streak with a 7-2 win in the second game of a doubleheader at Porterville College

on April 12 after losing the opener 8-7.

On Thursday, the Tigers won the opener 6-5 before falling in the nightcap to the second-place Blue Devils 14-3.

Alyssa Aguilar was the winning pitcher against Porterville after allowing six hits and one earned run in a complete game. Ava Trevino drove in three runs while Ellie Montalvo, Precious Hawkins, and Aguilar all had two hits.

In a comeback win over Merced, Jordynn Acevedo's run-scoring double scored winning pitcher Annabelle Buchanan and Trevino's single and an error brought in the tying and winning run.
