The Clovis Community College men's soccer team is still in search of its first win after falling 3-1 at Folsom Lake College on Tuesday. After a scoreless opening half, Folsom Lake broke the game open with three consecutive goals before the Crush got on the board.
Trailing 3-0 late, freshman Manuel Gonzalez erased the shutout, scoring the first goal of the early season for the Crush in the 83rd minute off the assist from Agustin Banuelos Mata.
Sophomore Eric Canela totaled four saves in goal for Clovis.
Manu Rey scored twice for Folsom Lake, getting a penalty kick goal in the 56th minute and knocking in a direct kick in the 64th. Nathan Gosal closed out the scoring for the Falcons with a goal in the 70th minute.
Clovis (0-2-0) will gets its next shot at a win on Friday (Sep. 3) when the Crush host Monterey Peninsula College in a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
