The #6 Women's Basketball open day 1 of the Tommy A North/South Showcase by holding off #7 Fresno City. It was the Raider's 8th win of the season moving them to 8-3.
Rebecca Saidof led the Raiders with a team and game high 24 points. Success Prysock had a double-double, 22 points and 11 rebounds. Mika Jarrett added 17 points while Rome Flacocchia grabbed 11 rebounds.
The first two quarters were played evenly with either unable to establish control indicative of the 33-33 halftime score.
In the 3rd quarter, the Raiders used a 10-2 run to pull away from the Rams with 3 minutes left in the quarter. Fresno City closed the gap to 55-49 to end the 3rd.
The 4th quarter was played like the first half as both teams battled back and forth, but with just under two minutes left, the Rams took the lead 71-70. The Raiders re-took the lead 73-70 before Fresno tied it at 73-73 with 1:15 left. The Raiders were able to take the lead with :34 left on Jarrett's lay-up. Fresno missed two shots down the stretch, fouling Jarrett. Jarrett's to free-throws iced the game, 77-73.
