No. 4 Rams edge No. 13 Reedley 1-0 to move on in NorCal Playoffs

SAN FRANCISCO – No. 4-seeded City College of San Francisco will continue its run towards a state championship thanks to a 1-0 win over No. 13 Reedley College in its second-round game of the Northern California Regional Playoffs on Saturday.

Joelle Fong-Pedrosa found the back of the net for the Rams in the 65th minute for the game's lone goal.

Elvira Motuapuaka was solid in goal for CCSF. She posted 4 saves to help lead the Rams to their 11th shutout of the season.

With the win, the Rams improved to 15-3-1 overall. They will host No. 5 Fresno City College in a third-round game on Tuesday (Nov. 22) at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Fresno, now 15-2-4, was a 1-0 winner over No. 12 Taft College in its second-round contest on Saturday.

Two more wins are needed by CCSF to advance to the 2022 CCCAA State Championships on Dec. 2 & 4 at American River College in Sacramento.
