Despite 22 points and 10 rebounds from Gernijah (Nay Nay) Martin, the Reedley College Tiger women's basketball team dropped a 68-47 decision to the Fresno City College Rams on Saturday afternoon in Reedley.
The win improved Coach Brian Tessler's (a former head coach of the Lady Tigers) to 4-1 in the Central Valley Conference (one game behind first-place Merced while current Reedley Head Coach Dan Kilbert's squad fell to 1-4 in the CVC and 10-9 overall.
The biggest team statistic in the RC loss was 35 Reedley turnovers.
Martin scored eight of Reedley's 11 second quarter points as the Lady Rams held on to a 12-point lead at the break.
I'man Conley followed with 11 points for Reedley.
Fresno had 11 players reach the scoring column, led by Bria Fernandes with 5 3-pointers and 19 points.
Reedley returns to its home court on Wednesday, facing the Porterville College Pirates at 5 pm.
