Tiger Baseball Wins Doubleheader, Remains Undefeated

Through Sunday's action, name the only 6–0 community college baseball team in California. It's the Reedley College Tigers. The Tigers won four games last week and returned to action on Feb. 8 at Cuesta before hosting Cerro Coso on Thursday at 3 pm and hosting Cuesta next Tuesday at 2 pm.

Reedley started last week's action with a 10-5 win at Hartnell on February 1, a 7-0 home win over Hartnell on Thursday, and a doubleheader sweep over Barstow by scores of 14-0 and 9-4 on Saturday. In the first win over Hartnell, the Tigers trailed 2-0 early before scoring eight unanswered runs. A bases-loaded three-run double by Roman Rosales put Reedley ahead to stay before Leo Arreguin added a two-run homer in the eighth inning. In a Thursday win over Hartnell. Alex Trukki allowed two hits and struck out 10 over seven innings. Orin Hirschkorn and Arreguin each had three hits to lead the Tigers 12 hit attack.

On Saturday, Jaden Jones gave up three hits over seven innings with Arreguin driving in four runs on a grand slam home run in the second inning that opened the scoring. Jordan Smith added three hits. Rosales drove in four runs in the second game which included a bases-loaded double in the third inning. Through six games, Reedley has a team batting average of .330 with Arreguin hitting .550. The Tigers have outscored the opposition by a 55 - 19 margin.
