TAFT, CA – Taft College played College of the Sequoias Baseball in Visalia this past Saturday for game 3 of the series.
COS took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and soon Taft responded in the third inning when Gaku Yamamoto singles on a line drive to score Karsen Spradling. In the fourth inning, Taft's offense got it going again as Ty Moore hit an RBI single, bringing in Aidan Otano. Moore later scored on a pitching error, making it 3-1.
The Giants fought back in the seventh inning, cutting the deficit to 3-2 in which Taft answered quickly with another run in the 9th. Ryden Walker would come to shut the door earning him the save and getting a win for the TC Cougars final score of 4-2.
Sebastian Montoya would get the win going 6.2 innings.
The Cougars play this Tuesday, April 1 at 2:00 pm in Taft for an out of conference game against College of the Desert.
