The Tigers faced the Ventura Pirates, the third-ranked team in the south region, in the first round of the College of the Sequoias Gilcrest Invitational. Ventura won 75-60. Sophomore Nyla Curtis led the Tigers with 16 points. Freshman Zavia Barlow had 15 for Reedley. The Tigers kept it close in the first quarter, they were outscored 22-16. Ventura's offense took off in the second quarter, outscoring Reedley 26-9. The Tigers finished the game strong, outscoring Ventura 35-27 in the second half. Reedley will play Sacramento City today in the second round of the tournament. Tipoff is at 5:00 PM in the old gym.
