Folsom - The Folsom Lake Falcons showcased their prowess in their 2024 home opener with a commanding 4-0 victory over Madera College. Coming off a 1-1 draw against Lake Tahoe Community College, the Falcons were eager to secure their first win of the season on home turf.
The Falcons set the tone early, with Kamaya Yazzie scoring just 56 seconds into the match, assisted by Kylie Deome. This quick strike energized the team and the home crowd. Grace Pratt doubled the lead in the 34th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Katy Shurson.
Tea Reyes extended the Falcons' advantage with two goals—one unassisted just before halftime in the 42nd minute and another in the 59th minute, assisted by Deome, making the score 4-0.
