Men's Basketball Wins Over Cañada College

Led by Makhi Turner's 21 points, the Reedley College Tiger men's basketball team improved to 2-4 on the young season with a 90-60 win over the 1-5 Canada College Crows on Saturday afternoon in Reedley.
Next up for Coach into Monday night's road game (after the newspaper's deadline) will be the Foothill College Owls after Saturday afternoon's 90-60 victory over the 1-5 Canada College Crows in Reedley.
'I think that's the best half of basketball that we've played collectively," said Tiger head coach T.J. Jennings after the win. Reedley built a 41-19 halftime lead. ''I felt like we were the aggressor, which was fantastic.." The coach said that anytime you can hold a team under 20 points in a half (20 minutes) of basketball is a win-win all the way around.
"We're going to see this team down the road," said Jennings. I don't take it for granted. It's a good day for Reedley College basketball. But we have to continue getting better."
After facing Foothill, the Tigers head to Elk Grove to compete in the Cosumnes River tournament. At this writing, no fans are being allowed due to Covid-19 concerns.
