All-American Tomislav Jozinovic scored on a penalty kick with five minutes left in overtime to propel the No. 21-seeded Colts (10-9-1) to a 2-1 overtime victory at 12-seeded College of the Sequoias (10-7-4).
The Colts will now travel for a game at No. 5-seeded Merced on Saturday.
The Colts played from behind after COS went up 1-0 in the 53rd minute. Morgan Johnson scored the equalizer with a pass from Diego Arellano in the 70th minute to tie it at 1-1. After 90 minutes, both teams played an extra 30 minutes.
Nico Flores then was fouled in the penalty box, setting up Jozinovic for the winning score. The Colts then played defense until the horn sounded after 120 minutes of play for the upset victory.
