Baseball Falls in Short Over the Visiting Giants

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College baseball team fought hard in their home matchup against the College of the Sequoias Giants but ultimately fell short in an 8-6 loss on Tuesday. The Renegades rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to tighten the gap, highlighted by Isaac Torres' clutch three-run homer.

Freshman utility player, Jordan Brito added to the offensive push with a two-RBI double, while sophomore Jordan Mora chipped in an RBI of his own. However, Bakersfield's late surge wasn't enough to overcome Sequoias' consistent scoring.

On the mound, Elliott Radney took the loss for BC, despite a solid start through five innings.

The Renegades will be back at home starting Thursday evening when they host Cerritos College for a three-game series. Thursday's game is set for 6:00 pm, on Friday, the first pitch is at 5:00 pm while Saturday's game will begin at noon.
