LEMOORE --- Sade Booker-Honeycutt scored a team-high 14 points to lead West Hills College Lemoore in a 71-60 Central Valley Conference loss to visiting College of the Sequoias on Friday night at Golden Eagle Arena.
West Hills battled with conference-leading Sequoias as the Giants looked to wrap up a CVC title. The Golden Eagles led 22-18 after the first quarter but cooled off in the second and trailed 35-34 at halftime before faltering over the final 20 minutes of play.
Audrey Gonzalez Alvarez put together a solid game with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals. Jada Heights added 11 points and Clarissa Chavez chipped in with 7 points.
West Hills is 15-11 overall and 5-6 in conference play with just one game remaining. The Golden Eagles host Porterville College on Friday (Feb. 25) at 5 p.m. in their regular-season finale.
