TAFT - Mackenzie Broderick scored her 10th goal of the season helping the Marauder women's soccer team earn a competitive 1-1 tie against Taft College, Friday afternoon.
AVC (4-2-4) got down early in the first five minutes of the game following a goal by Taft's Nancy Reynaga.
Broderick and the Marauders responded 29 minutes later as she scored a goal which was assisted by Makayla Attwood. Broderick ranks sixth in the state in goals this season.
"The team showed great resilience and battled the entire game," said AVC head coach Charles Gordon, whose team outshot Taft, 11-6.
