FOLSOM – No. 17 seed Clovis Community College moved on to Round 2 of the Northern California Regional Playoffs thanks to a narrow 2-1 win at No. 16 seed Folsom Lake College on Wednesday.

The Crush advance to Round 3 were they will travel to face a familiar rival in top-seeded Fresno City College. That contest is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 19) at FCC.
The two squads have already met twice in Central Valley Conference action this season. The Rams won 3-2 in Fresno on Oct. 14 and were a 4-1 winner over the Crush in Clovis on Nov. 11.
The winner of Saturday's playoff game advances to Round 3 to face either No. 8 Butte College or No. 9 Cabrillo College on Tuesday (Nov. 22). Three more wins are needed by the Crush to advance to the 2022 CCCAA State Championships on Dec. 2 & 4 at American River College in Sacramento.
