Fresno City wins third straight CVC title; FCC gets No. 12 seed, Sequoias No. 14 for Nor Cal Playoffs

With a 13-2 record, Fresno City College rolled to its third consecutive Central Valley Conference softball championship. It was the Rams' fourth over the past seven seasons (2016, 2021, 2022, 2023).

College of the Sequoias finished two games back in second place at 11-4 followed by Merced College in third at 9-6. | FINAL STANDINGS

As the Central Valley Conference champion, Fresno City earned the CVC's automatic bid into the postseason and was named the No. 12 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs. Despite finishing in third place, Sequoias received an at large bid and is the No. 14 seed. | BRACKET

Fresno City (21-15) travels to No. 5 San Joaquin Delta College (24-13) for a best-of-three regional playoffs series that begins on Friday, May 5. Game 2 and 3, if necessary, are scheduled for Saturday (May 6).

Sequoias (24-11) will also hit the road to No. 3 West Valley College (28-8) for its three-game playoff set and will look to score a big upset.

The winners advance to the second round/Super Regionals on May 12-13 with the 3C2A State Championships scheduled for May 18-21 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
