Sequoias completes perfect run to conference championship; CVC announces 2024-25 postseason awards

College of the Sequoias closed out a dominant regular season, going undefeated with an impressive 12-0 record on its way to capturing the 2024-25 Central Valley Conference championship. The Giants were a force on the court and compiled a 28-0 overall record as they head to the postseason.

For COS, it was its seventh conference title since 2015 and 21st overall in program history.

Runner up Fresno City College finished two games back at 10-2 with Reedley College third with an 8-4 mark. Taft (5-7), Merced (4-8), Lemoore (3-9), and Porterville (0-12) rounded out the final CVC standings.

The conference will be represented by four squads in the Northern California Regional Playoffs. Sequoias was easily the top choice for the region's No. 1 seed. Fresno City earned the No. 8 seed, Reedley was No. 15, and Taft snuck in at No. 23 in the bracket.

2024-25 ALL-CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERENCE POSTSEASON AWARDS

Sophomores Jocelyn Medina and Morgan Trigueiro from College of the Sequoias were named the Central Valley Conference Co-Most Valuable Players after impressive seasons and leading the Giants to a perfect record. In his first season leading the program, Tyler Newton of COS was selected Coach of the Year.
