Fresno City back on top, wins 2024 conference title; CVC announces 2024 postseason awards

After a one-year absence, the Fresno City College women's soccer team was back on top of the final Central Valley Conference standings to capture the 2024 CVC title.

FCC had a string of six straight conference championships (2016-22) snapped after finishing runner up to Clovis by a game last season. But the Rams left little doubt in 2024, posting a 13-0-1 record in conference play. The lone blemish was a scoreless tie to second-place Merced.

Merced ended at 8-3-3, followed closely by Sequoias (7-4-3), Reedley (6-4-4), and Clovis (5-8-1) in third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively. | FINAL STANDINGS

The CVC was represented by five schools in the Northern California Regionals Playoffs. Fresno City was the top-seeded squad at No. 5, followed by No. 17 Merced, No. 20 Sequoias, No. 22 Reedley, and No. 24 Taft.

Fresno City reached the third round of the playoffs but suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at No. 4 City College of San Francisco. The Rams ended with an 18-3-1 overall record.
