Fresno City captures 17th straight conference title; CVC announces 2024 postseason awards

Fresno City College continued its dominance of Central Valley Conference women's volleyball by winning its 17th consecutive conference championship in 2024.

The Rams once again went undefeated in CVC play, posting a perfect 16-0 record in conference matches this season. Fresno City's unprecedented Central Valley Conference winning streak is now at 192 matches.

Earlier this season, FCC head coach Kieran Roblee became the program's all-time wins leader with 206 victories. Roblee led the Rams to the 3C2A State Championship final but ultimately suffered a 3-2 loss to Feather River College to earn a state runner-up finish. FCC closed 2024 with a 30-5 overall record.

Taft College continues to trend upwards in CVC women's volleyball. The Cougars were second at 14-2 in the final standings with just conference losses to Fresno City. Taft advanced to the third round of the playoffs and ended with a 27-5 overall record.

The CVC was also represented in the Northern California Regional Playoffs by Merced (20-7, 11-5 CVC), Coalinga (21-8, 10-6 CVC), and Sequoias (16-15, 8-8 CVC). | FINAL STANDINGS

2024 ALL-CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERNCE POSTSEASON HONORS

Fresno City sophomore setter Savannah FauntLeRoy was named the 2024 CVC Most Valuable Player after a standout season. Taft sophomore Sutton Thompson was recognized as the conference Libero of the Year, and Mallori Rossi from Taft was selected as the CVC Coach of the Year.
