LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team punded out 16 hits and scored 12 runs. The only problem was visiting Cerro Coso had 27 hits and scored 19 runs as the Coyotes defeated AVC 19-12, in the first game of a three-game series on a windy afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
Jorge Villalobos was 3-for-6 for AVC with two runs and one RBI. Three other Marauder players had multiple hits, but it was not enough.
Joe Lamont had four RBI for AVC and teammate Daulton Stanton added three more RBI.
The series continues on Friday when the Marauders travel to Cerro Coso.
