Women's Basketball: Sequoias, Fresno, Merced share CVC championship

Sequoias, Fresno City, and Merced all finished the conference schedule with identical 10-2 records to earn a share of the Central Valley Conference championship. For COS, it was its second straight conference title while FCC last won it in 2015-16.

CCCAA Northern California Regional Playoffs: The CVC's tri-champions will represent the conference in the upcoming 2018 CCCAA Northern California Regional Playoffs that are set to begin on Feb. 21. Fresno City earned the No. 2 seed, Sequoias received the No. 3 seed, and Merced is the No. 5 seed for the NorCal Playoffs.

Playoff Match ups:
Feb. 23 - Round 2: #14 San Jose City (16-12) at #3 Sequoias (26-3)
Feb. 24 - Round 2: #15 Merritt (19-7))/#18 Los Medanos (19-8) at #2 Fresno City (24-5)
Feb. 24 - Round 2: #12 Cabrillo (20-4) at #5 Merced (24-5)

The 2018 CCCAA Basketball State Championship is set for March 9-11 at Ventura College.
