With a perfect 9-0 record, Merced is surging towards its third straight CVC championship. The Blue Devils have won 10 straight with just three left to play. Reedley is currently second at 6-2, followed by Fresno City (5-3), and Sequoias (5-4).

Merced (20-5) holds the No. 8 spot in this week's CCCSIA state poll and is the lone CVC team ranked. In the CCCWBCA Northern California poll, Merced is No. 3, followed by Sequoias in the No. 12 position.
