Clovis unbeaten streak reaches 10 games with 4-0 win at COS

The Clovis Crush Women's Soccer team won its fourth straight game and extended its unbeaten streak to a season-best 10 matches thanks to its 4-0 Central Valley Conference win at College of the Sequoias in Visalia on Tuesday.

The victory improved Clovis to 12-5-1 overall this season and 7-0-1 in conference play.

Marie Tejada's goal in the 27th minute off the assist from Katrina Thompson opened the scoring for Clovis and sent the Crush into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.

But Clovis blew the game open in the second, getting goals from Audrey Jimenez (61st minute), Elisa Soderholm, (70th), and Savannah Dungan (78th) to secure the victory. Dungan, Danae Condra, and Nataly Sanchez were all credited with assists.

Goalkeeper Danielle Cedillo and the Crush defense combined to post Clovis' fourth consecutive and 10th shutout of the season.

Clovis returns to action on Friday (Oct. 27) when the Crush host Taft College in a 3 p.m. CVC game.
